My Daughter who is 22 months seems to really like animals alot. She is quite fasinated with everything that moves. This Spring/Summer she has got to see the occassinal Black rat or garter that has come up in the yard. and has seen me once or twice get the snake out of the bushes or from under boards for her to see. The other weekend (while i was in WV) She got to touch her 1st snake . Was a Black Rat. I think it scared her a bit as she scared it to (she was supervised). Not to start educating her to make sure a adult is around before she goes out touching all the snakes in the yard. But she listens well. The other Day I told her to go find me a snake.. So she picks up a stick and starts beating on the bushes and boards while “making a hissing sound” Maybe she will make a good Herper one day
