New Queen Spot

Time - 11am - 1pm
Temps - 68-75f
Sky - Partly Cloudy to somewhat clear.

Today I desided to take my daughter out to a new spot I have wanted to try. Was a good day and neither of us had been to this spot yet so I though it would be fun to do some creek walking and see what we could find. I heard the place was good for Salamanders but we didnt turn over a single one.

Kyra Playing at the waters edge.

She is a skillfull butterfly hunter also.

The 1st thing we seen was a Nerodia.

And after a few stops along the creek I flipped this DUR (dead under rock) neonate Queen that was only around 6″. Im guessing someone stepped on the rock and it got pinned under.

Habitat

This did offer hope to find more.

And a bit down the creek we seen this Queen searching underwater for crawfish.

All and all it was a fun day. ANd good to find another Queen spot to check out.
