The Trip:

Myself and John Smith (axp117crow) from fieldherpforum.com took a
herp trip down to Fayette County, PA in and around Ohiopyle State Park.
(detailed locations will not be included).

We met up around 7:40am and started out with a bang.

John Flipped this Red Salamander under a rock in a muddy little pool of water.
Lifer for both of us.

John with Red Salamander

Then up the way we checked some Newt Pools. A few Smaller and Larvae Newts. Counted 3.

Stopped 2 places for Timbers and Copperheads with no luck. And a Stop to take a Outlook shot.

We stopped of a a few locations. One with a Unided Frog and one Northern Dusky.

So next we hit a small pond to find alot of Green Frogs and TMTC Unided Frogs also
A few Northern and Mountain Dusky Salamanders in a near by creek.

The Next stop was on the Hit some Creeks for some more Salamanders sence it was getting
late in to the day and hot. Time to Cool Off some.

We Found Alot of Northern and Mountain Dusky Salamanders walking the creek banks.

Seal Salamander.

Northern Dusky

So We desided to Get back to the road when John desided to Flip another rock.
And a great find (seeing as we were flipping so many duskys).

A Nice little Redback.

Then I deside to Flip the rock close to this one. (just afterI was talking about Slimys)
I flipped this Big Fellow. (we almost lost it and didnt get a photo, it fell and went in a hole,
that ended under a nearby log).

John with his 1st Slimy. Would be a Lifer for me also I have seen one but my 1st actual find.

Also Found this Redback while looking to find the Slimy above.

A few more Flips and John found 3 more Slimys. (one unphotographed)

2nd one found - Found out in the open

3rd one.

After that we headed back to the Begining and Counted 20+ more Newts in one of the pools.

Though No Reptiles were seen (and we were kinda disappointed with that)
It was a good trip over all.
